Thailand Ranked One of Best County in the World for Expatriates and Travelers

In accordance with Condé Nast Traveler's Reader's Choice Awards 2022, Thailand came in third on the list of the "Best Countries in the World," and Bangkok came in second on the list of the "Best Big Cities in the World."

According to a survey conducted online by the US-based magazine from April 1 to June 30 of this year, Portugal, Japan, and Thailand are the top three destinations on the global traveler's wish list.

Singapore was fourth on the list, followed by India, Greece, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Italy, and New Zealand, respectively.

Singapore was ranked first among the world's "Best Big Cities," followed by Bangkok, Tokyo, Mérida in Mexico, Quebec City, Cape Town, Mumbai, Cusco in Peru, Istanbul, and Montreal. The government was pleased with the outcomes, according to spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri.

He claimed that numerous Thai tourist destinations, including islands, lodging facilities, and spas, placed highly in the 2022 Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards.

Three Thai islands were among the top 10 "Best Islands in Asia" list. The top spot on the list went to Boracay in the Philippines, which was followed by Bali, Koh Samui, Langkawi, Phuket, Phú Quốc in Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Palawan in the Philippines, Okinawa and Ryuku Islands in Japan. The Phi Phi Islands came in at number ten.

Rosewood Phuket was listed as the 11th "Best Resort in the World" on the list.

Two properties in Thailand were included on the list of the "Best Hotels in the World", out of a total of 50 hotels. They were the 20th-ranked The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok and the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok (48th).

On the list of "Best Destination Spas in the World," Chiva-Som in Hua Hin came in first place, and Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary and Holistic Spa on Koh Samui came in fourth.

Mr. Anucha thanked all relevant agencies for adding Thailand to the lists.
