Questions Related to Passports in Thailand

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I ONLY HAVE THREE YEARS LEFT ON MY PASSPORT?

According to the Immigration Bureau of Thailand, if the length of your current passport is less than five years, the Privilege Entry Visa will be affixed in accordance with the passport's expiration date. Your new passport will be stamped with the remaining validity period.

Please be advised that Thailand Elite requires at least three blank visa pages in your current passport, and the visa will be granted for the duration of your membership.

MY PASSPORT IS LOST, WHAT PROCESS I SHOULD DO?

First and foremost, you should make contact with your embassy in Thailand or the nearest country. The Embassy will provide you with additional information on what needs to be done. In most cases, however, you will be required to first visit the police station to file a report about a lost passport. After receiving a police report document, you must use this document to obtain your new passport.

When you receive a new passport, you must provide a copy to the Member Contact Center, as Thailand Elite must keep your information up to date. The Member Contact Center will then provide you with additional instructions on how to apply for a new Thailand Elite Visa in your passport.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM VALIDITY OF A PASSPORT THAT CAN BE REGISTERED IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

Ideally, your passport should be valid for at least 5 years. However, if you have less than 5 years, the Thai Embassy or Immigration Bureau will issue Thai Elite Visas based on the expiration date on your passport. The remaining validity of your visa will then be affixed to your new passport. It is also important to note that your passport must have at least three blank pages.
