Official Announcement Test & Go Rules will be implemented on April 1, 2022.

Travelers will be able to enter the kingdom without having to show proof of a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours of their arrival.

The following rules will take effect on April 1, 2022, and will also apply to travelers who have applied for or received the TEST & GO Thailand Pass or Certificate of Entry with scheduled arrivals on or after that date.

Entry points:

• By air: There are direct international flights to Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, Phuket, Krabi, Samui, Chiang Mai, U-Tapao, and Hat Yai (new) airports, as well as dedicated domestic flights.
• By land: Pass through border checkpoints in Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Songkhla, and Satun (new).
• By water: eligible vessels include private yachts and ships operated by Thai government agencies, as well as Thai crew members on cargo ships.

Eligible travelers / countries:

• Arrivals by air and water: Fully vaccinated Thai citizens and foreign visitors from all countries/territories.
• Arrivals by land: Fully vaccinated Thai citizens and foreign visitors from neighboring countries connecting with the reopened border checkpoints (Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Songkhla, and Satun).

Pre-arrival Requirements

To enter Thailand, all visitors must have the following documents:

1. A Thailand Pass (via https://tp.consular.go.th/) for arrivals by air and land, or a Certificate of Entry (via a Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate-General) for arrivals by sea.

2. An insurance policy that provides at least US$20,000 in coverage. Thais and foreign expatriates covered by Thailand's national healthcare system are exempt from this requirement.

*TAT advises travelers to read the fine print of any COVID-19 insurance policy before purchasing it. Finally, the policy should cover the cost of treatment and other medical expenses associated with COVID-19 infection, such as in-patient hospitalization, hospital isolation, hotel isolation, or related quarantine. The insurance policy should also cover the entire duration of the travelers' stay in Thailand, plus at least 10 extra days as a precautionary measure in the event that the traveler's second test result is positive.

3. A proof of prepayment for one night's stay at a government-approved hotel/s, such as SHA Extra Plus (SHA++), on Day 1, which should also include the cost of two COVID-19 tests: an RT-PCR test upon arrival (Day 0-1) and an antigen self-test on Day 5.

4. COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate

• Everyone over the age of 18 must be fully immunized against COVID-19 with an approved vaccine at least 14 days before traveling to Thailand.
• Unaccompanied minors aged 12 to 17 traveling to Thailand must be vaccinated with at least one dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before departure. This requirement does not apply to those traveling with their parents.
• Travelers under the age of 12 who are accompanied by their parents are exempt from this requirement.
• Everyone on board must be fully vaccinated for water arrivals. except for passengers under the age of 18, who are accompanied by their parents or guardians.
• Travelers with a history of COVID-19 infection who have received at least one dose of an approved vaccine post-infection are required to have a medical certificate of COVID-19 recovery.

5. COVID-19 Recovery Certificate

• Travelers who have had a history of COVID-19 infection within the last 14 days to three months and have not received any vaccine post-infection must present a medical certificate of COVID-19 recovery.

Requirements for Arrival / During the Stay

1. All visitors must go through entry screening, including a body temperature check, and present the necessary documents to the Immigration/Health Control officer.

• Arrivals on direct flights to Thailand's international airport, as well as arrivals with domestic connecting flights, at either the first point of entry before boarding the transit flight, or at the final airport.
• Also, at the point of entry for land and sea arrivals.

2. Proceed to the pre-arranged lodging or medical facility for the Day 1 RT-PCR test. The trip must be made in a prearranged vehicle on a predetermined route in no more than 5 hours. Then, all visitors must wait for the test results within the hotel. *Saliva tests are available for children under the age of six who are traveling with their parents.

• Travelers whose test results are negative are free to go wherever they want in Thailand, but they will be given 1 antigen self-test kit for a self-test on Day 5 and will be required to report/record the result using the MorChana application or another specified application.
• Travelers with positive test results will be referred for appropriate medical treatment in accordance with Thailand's Communicable Diseases Act B.E. number 2558 (2015). The expenses must be covered by the required insurance, at one's own expense for foreign travelers, or by Thai and eligible foreign expatriate national healthcare coverage.

1. Depending on their medical conditions, they may be advised to receive treatment in either hospital hotel isolation or community isolation.
2. They must remain in their accommodation for at least 10 days while receiving medical treatment. They should not leave their accommodation unless absolutely necessary, and they must notify the in-charge Communicable Disease Control officer.
3. They will be given a medical certificate of recovery once they have recovered from COVID-19.

3. Travelers to Thailand are advised to strictly adhere to standard good personal hygiene practices such as wearing a mask in public, maintaining hand hygiene (washing with soap and water or using hand sanitizer), and maintaining a physical distance of at least 1 meter from others.

*Travelers who exhibit COVID-like symptoms should be tested. If they test positive, they must seek medical attention.

4. All travelers must download and install the MorChana application and keep it turned on at all times for the COVID-19 precautionary measures and to record the self-ATK result on Day 5.

• *The self-ATK on Day 5 is not required if the traveler's stay is less than 5 nights or if his/her scheduled international departure date from Thailand is on Day 5 or earlier. For example, if the traveler intends to stay in Thailand for three days, he or she is not required to report the self-ATK result, but must depart immediately for another country. However, depending on the airline and the final international destination, the traveler may be required to take another test.

Domestic / International Departure Procedures

Domestic departure: Travelers must show proof that their Day 1 RT-PCR test result was negative.

International departure: Regardless of the point of departure, it is the responsibility of travelers or their organizations to ensure that travelers meet the requirements of their specific international destination.
