TM47 is the official Thai Immigration form used for the 90-day report. Every foreigner staying 90 consecutive days or more in Thailand must complete the TM47 to confirm their current address with the Immigration Bureau, then repeat the report every 90 days. The TM47 applies to all long-stay visa types, including Thailand Elite / Thailand Privilege Visa, retirement, marriage, work, education and LTR visas.
The TM47 form (Notification of Staying in the Kingdom Over 90 Days) is the address-reporting document foreigners file with Thai Immigration. It is available as a paper form at every immigration office and as a digital form on the official portal at https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/. The TM47 form does not extend your visa — it is purely an address check, and once submitted you receive a stamped receipt to keep with your passport.
On the paper TM47 form, complete: your full name, nationality and passport number; the date of your latest entry to Thailand and the visa class (e.g. Privilege Entry Visa for Thailand Elite members); your current address in Thailand (must match your latest TM30); your phone number and signature. Online via the official portal, the same fields are pre-filled from your previous filing where possible. Always double-check the address — a mismatch with your TM30 is the most common reason a TM47 is rejected. See our step-by-step section above for the full online process.
The paper TM47 form is provided free at every Thai immigration office — no need to download or print it in advance. If you want to file by mail, the form is also available for download from the Immigration Bureau website (https://www.immigration.go.th). For online filing, use the official TM47 portal at https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/ — there is no PDF download step in that flow.
The TM47 90-day report is the same document referred to throughout this guide — the Notification of Staying in the Kingdom Over 90 Days. It is required under Section 37(5) of the Thai Immigration Act and applies to all long-stay visa holders, including Thailand Elite / Thailand Privilege members. It does not extend your visa — it is purely an address check.
Go to the official TM47 online portal at https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/, register with your passport and email, confirm your address (which must match your latest TM30), and submit. Processing is usually instant, and you can download the PDF receipt to save on your phone. Online filing is free and open 15 days before to 7 days after the due date.
The most common cause is a TM30 address mismatch — for example, a hotel in another province filed a TM30 for you during a recent trip, so that address is now your latest registered residence. Ask your home landlord (or yourself, if you own the property) to file a fresh TM30 at your home address, then re-try the TM47 submission. See our TM30 guide for the steps.
Yes. The TM47 applies to all foreigners staying 90 consecutive days or more in Thailand, regardless of visa type. Thailand Elite members benefit from concierge support, including a drop-off service in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Chiang Mai where our team submits the report on your behalf.
The 90-day counter resets every time you exit and re-enter Thailand. If you take a short trip abroad, you do not need to file a TM47 for that stay — a new 90-day clock begins on your next entry. Most Thailand Elite members who travel internationally only file once or twice a year.
THB 2,000 if filed more than 7 days after the due date. If you are caught not having filed at all (e.g. at the airport or during an extension), the fine can rise to THB 5,000. The fine is payable in cash at the immigration office before they will process anything else for you.
Yes. The reporting window opens 15 days before the official due date, so you can file early without penalty. Many Thailand Elite members file as soon as the window opens to get it off their to-do list and to have the receipt ready for upcoming travel.
Your passport details, your most recent visa entry date, your current address in Thailand (must match your latest TM30), and a valid email address for the PDF receipt. If you have your previous 90-day report receipt, keep it handy for reference. The TM6 departure card number is no longer required (it was suspended).
