Thailand Elite Visa Procedures: What Every Member Needs to Know
Navigating Thailand Elite Visa Requirements
Understanding the required Thailand Elite visa procedures is essential to maintaining your legal stay and privileges in Thailand. Whether you're newly enrolled or a long-term member, keeping track of reporting deadlines and documentation helps you stay compliant and worry-free.
1. TM47 – 90-Day Report
One of the most important Thailand Elite visa procedures is the 90-day report, or TM47. Every 90 days, members must confirm their current address with immigration. This can be done in person, online, or by registered mail in cities like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya. The report is free. If you leave Thailand before the deadline, the 90-day count resets upon re-entry.
⚠️ Failure to report may result in fines of up to 4,000 THB.
2. Annual Stay Extension
Thailand Elite visas allow stays of one year per entry. If you remain in the country past this period, an annual extension is required. Apply at immigration up to 30 days before your entry stamp expires. Required documents include:
- Passport with Elite visa
- TM6 (arrival/departure card) and TM7 form
- One 2-inch ID photo
- Official letter from Thailand Elite
It’s best to book the extension service at least 3 working days in advance.
3. TM30 – Address Notification
If you're renting a residence, the landlord must submit the TM30 form to notify immigration of your presence. This must be updated annually and can be submitted online, via app, or in person.
✅ Tip: Always double-check your TM47 receipt, TM30 proof, and visa stamps to stay compliant.
